India has taken a historic step to fight corruption, black money, terrorism and counterfeit currency. All existing notes of ₹500 and ₹1000 cease to be legal tender. This historic step will open up new opportunities for the poor, neo-middle class and the middle class. Funding for arms smuggling, espionage, terrorists will be choked. The move will lead to end of circulation of large volume of counterfeit currency.
