ନିଜର ଶୋକ ବାର୍ତ୍ତାରେ ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ କହଛନ୍ତି, “ମୁଁ ଏହି ଦୁର୍ଘଟଣାରେ ଗଭୀର ମର୍ମାହତ ଓ ମୋର ଦୁଃଖକୁ ଭାଷାରେ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିପାରିବି ନାହିଁ । ମୋର ଭାବନା ଶୋକାତୁର ପରିବାର ସହ ରହିଛି ।ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଏହି ମର୍ମନ୍ତୁଦ ଦୁର୍ଘଟଣାରେ ଆହତ ହୋଇଛନ୍ତି ମୁଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରୁଛି । ମୁଁ ରେଳମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ସୁରେଶ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସହ ଏ ସଂକ୍ରାନ୍ତରେ ଆଲୋଚନା କରିଛି ଏବଂ ସେ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଗତ ଭାବେ ଏହାର ପୁଙ୍ଖାନୁପୁଙ୍ଖ ତଦାରଖ କରୁଛନ୍ତି ।”
