Speaking to the media after the prayers, Shri Modi said that he sought the blessings of Lord Jagannath and said, “May he shower his blessings on the poor, the farmers, the youth and may he give his blessings for a good rainfall.”
He stated that Lord Jagannath is a Lord of the poor and shared that Ahmedabad being a city of poor mill workers has always sought the blessings of Lord Jagannath. Shri Modi said that there would be Rath Yatras across 130 places in Gujarat and that the people of Gujarat await Lord Jagannath’s chariot to travel across the state so that they can seek his divine blessings.The Chief Minister extended his greetings to the Kutchi community across the world on the occasion of Ashadhi Bij, the Kutch New Year.
