Bollywood actors Arbaaz Khan and Vivek Oberoi call on Shri Modi.

Both actors shared some of their upcoming projects and their proposed partnership with Gujarat on the occasion.

Amitabh Bachchan is the Brand Ambassador for Gujarat tourism, and is regularly seen in the ‘Khushbu Gujarat Ki’ campaign.

On Saturday 26th May 2012, two leading Bollywood actors Arbaaz Khan and Vivek Oberoi met Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi in Gandhinagar.

Mr. Khan, who was in Gujarat in connection with an advertisement shooting, called on the Chief Minister and spoke about his intention to shoot for his upcoming film Dabangg-2 in Gujarat.

 

 

Mr. Oberoi met Shri Modi and informed him about his proposed project to make entertainment places for the weekends, in which Gujarat would figure too.

 

 

Apart from these two prominent actors, various leading luminaries from the film industry have called on Shri Modi in the past. The most famous name is that of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, who is the Brand Ambassador for Gujarat tourism. His ‘Khushbu Gujarat Ki’ ad campaign has become a household phenomenon and a recent report stated that with this, a record 25-lakh tourists visited Gujarat for the year 2011-2012. Shri Modi often points out that earlier Gujaratis made the best tourists but now Gujarat is a preferred tourist destination in its own right, drawing tourists from all parts of the world.

In the recent past, popular actor Mr. Ajay Devgn met Shri Modi in connection where among other things, he even discussed his 25 MW solar power plant investment at Charanka with the Chief Minister. Other actors who have met Shri Modi are Mr. Jackie Shroff, Mr. Sunil Shetty, Mr. Anupam Kher and Ms. Preity Zinta. During Shri Modi’s 3-day Sadbhavana fast, leading actor Mr. Paresh Rawal, composer Mr. Ismail Darbar and many leading actors of the Gujarati film industry came to extend their support to the Sadbhavana Mission.
