"CM visits Belur Math, Dakshineshwar temple in Kolkata"

Chief Minister Narendra Modi began his journey in Kolkata by performing his religious duties at the auspicious Dakshineswar Kali Temple.  He also visited the famous Belur Math, the headquarters of the Ramakrishna
Math and Mission, founded by Swami Vivekananda and sought blessings of Maharaj shree Aatmasthanandaji, the president of Ramkrishna Mission.

Narendra Modi reached the Dakshineswar Kali Temple early morning. Lokmata Rani Rashmoni founded the temple in 1855 and the temple has remained as a memorial centre of Ramkrishna Paramhansh, Swami Vivekananda. Modi visited various places associated with Swami Vivekananda and Ramkrishna Paramhansh. He visited the room where Ramkrishna Paramhansh meditated and spent some time there. The Kali temple’s trustees along with senior trustee Kushal Chaudhary extended a warm welcome to the CM. Thousands of people had gathered at the temple complex to greet the CM.

The CM sought blessings from Maharaj shree Aatmasthanandaji, the president of Ramkrishna Mission, to be able to serve the country responsibly. The CM spent one hour observing different things at the Belur Math museum. At this time, head of the Swami Vivekananda Centre, Vadodara, Swami Nikhileshwar and General Secretary were also present during this occasion. The CM said, “I am blessed to have come to this holy land of Ramkrishna Paramhansh and be able to perform prayers of Kalimata.”
