PM Narendra Modi today attended an event for return of idols. The event marked beginning of process of returning more than 200 stolen cultural objects back to India. The PM thanked US President Obama for having taken the decision to return the ancient treasures. Shri Modi added that such heritage too could prove to be a binding force in bilateral ties.

The Prime Minister remarked that people were attracted towards India for the country's ancient civilisation and wanted to see the rich history a place offers & the historical culture. 

The PM further added, "Both, governments and laws have become more alert on trafficking of cultural artefacts & are working to prevent it." Technology, he said, could help catch hold those indulging in illicit trafficking.
