प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने आज मूर्तियों को वापस लौटाये जाने के अवसर पर आयोजित एक समारोह में भाग लिया। इस समारोह में चोरी हुई 200 से अधिक सांस्कृतिक कृतियाँ भारत को लौटायी गईं। प्रधानमंत्री ने प्राचीन धरोहरों को लौटने का निर्णय लेने के लिए अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति ओबामा को धन्यवाद दिया। श्री मोदी ने कहा कि इस तरह के धरोहर भी द्विपक्षीय संबंधों को और मजबूत करने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा सकते हैं।
प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि लोग भारत की प्राचीन सभ्यता के कारण इस देश की ओर आकर्षित होते रहे हैं और यहाँ की ऐतिहासिक संस्कृति और समृद्ध इतिहास को देखना चाहते हैं।
