कोझिकोड में विश्व आयुर्वेद समारोह को संबोधित करते हुए प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने आज कहा कि भारत विश्व को सस्ती और समग्र स्वास्थ्य सेवाएँ उपलब्ध कराने में अग्रणी भूमिका निभा सकता है। श्री मोदी ने कहा कि आयुर्वेदिक दिनचर्या मनुष्य के जीवन में संपूर्ण स्वास्थ्य संवर्द्धन, मानसिक एवं शारीरिक, दोनों को ध्यान में रख कर बनाई गई है।
प्रधानमंत्री ने आयुर्वेद और चिकित्सा के पारंपरिक प्रणालियों को बढ़ावा देने में सरकार की प्रतिबद्धता को दोहराया। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि स्टार्ट-अप की योजना बना रहे युवा उद्यमी समग्र स्वास्थ्य के क्षेत्र में काफ़ी अवसर ढूंढ सकते हैं।
